Hi again everyone…
So I have to admit there is a bit of a cereal theme going on this week. These squares are super easy to make and really delicious! They involve melting Mars Bars, golden syrup and butter together and mixing with Rice Krispies and topping with melted milk chocolate.
Makes approximately 16 squares
5 Mars Bars (snack size)
75g soft spread/butter
2tbsp golden syrup
150g Rice Krispies
400g milk chocolate
1.Prepare a 20cm baking tray by lining it with greaseproof paper.
2.Melt the soft spread/butter, golden syrup and Mars bars in a pyrex bowl over a medium sized saucepan with simmering water (make sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water). Stir continuously to avoid burning.
3.Measure the Rice Krispies into a large mixing bowl and pour in the Mars bar mixture. Stir until well combined.
4.Transfer into the prepared tin and leave aside until cool.
5.In the meantime melt the milk chocolate in the microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring after each one or melt in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of boiling water.
6.Pour over the Rice Krispie mixture and place in the fridge until set.
7.Cut into squares and enjoy!
