Classic Fudge

Welcome back everyone…

This is a simple fudge recipe which requires only 4 ingredients and is really delicious…

Makes 24 pieces


397g can of condensed milk

150ml milk

450g demerara sugar

115g butter



1.Place all ingredients into a large non-stick saucepan and melt over a low heat, until the sugar has dissolved.


2.Bring to the boil and then simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring continuously and scraping the base of the pan with a wooden spoon. Take care during this stage as the mixture is VERY HOT!

3. To see when it’s ready, use a thermometer if you have one (approximately 118°C) or drop some of the mixture into ice cold water and it should form a soft ball of fudge.


4.Remove from the heat and using a whisk, beat the mixture until it is thick and starting to set (should take about 10 minutes).

5.Transfer into a prepared tin, lined with greaseproof paper and leave to set. When cool cut into squares and enjoy 🙂
